His prostration after the salam from two rak'ahs, as in the of Abu Hurairah. His prostration after the salam from three rak'ahs, as in the hadith of Imran ibn Husain, and these are two distinct incidents, according to the more preponderant view. His prostration for adding a fifth rak'ah to the prayer, as in the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud. His prostration for omitting the first , as in the hadith of Ibn Buhainah (before the salam), and the hadith of Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah (after the salam). The preponderant view is that the hadith of Al-Mughirah is authentic and refers to another incident. As for his prostration due to doubt, one might cite the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud narrated by Ibrahim, but it appears that this narration is to be understood in light of the narration of the addition (he prayed five rak'ahs).
