If a Muslim wishes to attain the virtue of theulating the opening takbeer, he should go early to the mosque before the prayer is established. It is not permissible for him to rush or run to catch it, due to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "When the prayer has been established, do not come to it running. Rather, come to it walking, with tranquility. Whatever you catch, pray, and whatever you miss, complete." The worshipper is commanded to approach the prayer with tranquility and dignity, even if this leads to missing a rak'ah or the opening takbeer.
