Does one who builds a mosque on land endowed for the sake of Allah receive the full reward for building the mosque, as stated in the noble Hadith: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise?"

Building a mosque for the sake of Allah Almighty on land owned by an individual earns a greater reward. However, building on endowed land does not deprive the builder of the reward for constructing a mosque, because ownership of the land is not a condition for receiving the associated reward. It has been narrated in the Hadith: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah Almighty will build for him a house like it in Paradise." Imam An-Nawawi mentioned that the meaning of "like it" could imply likeness in the general concept of a house, or that its superiority over the houses of Paradise is like the superiority of a mosque over the houses of this world. The reward includes whoever builds the mosque himself or orders its construction, and the purpose is its dedication for prayer.
