Must the Asr prayer be repeated if it was prayed early due to fear of its time expiring, and then the worshiper returned home before the Maghrib Adhan?

If a person fears missing the 'Asr prayer time while at the doctor's, it is permissible for him to combine 'Asr with Dhuhr by way of jam' taqdeem (combining and advancing) due to need. He is not obligated to repeat the 'Asr prayer a second time before the Maghrib call to prayer. Repeating it, out of consideration for the opinion of those who do not validate such a combination, is more cautious.
