Does money earned from forex trading without an Islamic account carry the sin of usury (riba)? Is it permissible to spend it on a financially struggling brother who is aware of the matter? Is it possible to continue trading with the same company by converting the account to an Islamic one?

If a person entered into a usurious transaction out of ignorance of its prohibition, there is no sin upon him, and what has passed is his, provided he repents sincerely. However, he is not permitted to take what he has not yet received from the interest money. If he was aware of the prohibition, he must dispose of the usurious money in his possession. If he is poor, he may take from it what suffices his needs and dispose of the remainder in charitable causes. It is permissible to use it to pay off the debts of a brother in hardship. Trading in an Islamic account with a company is permissible if it is free from Sharia prohibitions.
