The answer

Usury (riba) is forbidden for both the receiver and the giver. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The receiver and the giver are equal in it." And "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses, and he said: 'They are equal.'" What is forbidden in the Abode of Islam is forbidden in the Abode of Disbelief. The prohibition of usury is established for both Muslims and disbelievers because they are addressed by the prohibitions. It is not permissible to build legal rulings on psychological comfort without valid evidence, and only those who possess the necessary tools of knowledge have the ability to weigh between different opinions.
