Is it permissible to perform an 'aqiqah for a daughter without inviting relatives, in order to avoid problems that may arise from such gatherings?

The 'Aqiqah is a confirmed Sunnah, and its time is the seventh day after birth. Cooking it is preferable. It is disliked to treat it as a wedding-like feast. Rather, it is better to send its cooked meat as a gift to relatives, neighbors, friends, and the poor. It is permissible to give some of it in charity. If a feast is held, it is sufficient, but one must avoid what causes discord, disputes, and boasting.
