What is the ruling on working in makeup factories in America?

The basic principle regarding the manufacturing of these cosmetic products is permissibility. However, certain factors may render it forbidden. These include: if any of these products are impure (najis), or mixed with an impure substance such as pig fat, carrion, or alcohol; or if their packaging features images of women in a manner that is not Islamically permissible; or if it is known that a specific buyer will use them in a way that displeases Allah. Since the prevailing situation in those countries involves the misuse of these products for ostentatious display and immodesty, we advise against working in that factory. Whoever abandons something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better. Allah Almighty says: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him." (At-Talaq: 2-3).
