Is it advisable to return to Egypt to raise children, taking into account the warnings of some regarding the difficult conditions there, and relying on Allah for sustenance?

Our advice to you is to consider your situation, consult with righteous and experienced individuals, and do what you deem best for your religion and your worldly life. If you find that staying in your expatriate location is better for you, then it is preferable that you bring your wife and children to be with you. If that is not possible, then you should not prolong your absence from your family. Ibn Abd al-Barr said: "Prolonged expatriation from one's family without a pressing need related to religion or worldly affairs is not appropriate and not permissible. And whoever's need has been fulfilled, it is incumbent upon him to hasten back to his family whom he supports and provides for." Sheikh Atiyyah Saqr said: "I advise the husband not to excessively prolong his absence, for what he spends when he returns to her at close intervals will provide her and his children with psychological happiness and moral protection that money, for which he traveled, cannot provide."
