If a woman requests a khul', how much may her husband take from her?

It is recommended that the husband not take more than he gave his wife when she seeks Khul‘ (divorce at the wife's instance, by giving compensation). It is disliked for him to take more, but the Khul‘ is still valid. It is disliked for him to take more than he gave her, for there is no blame upon them for what she gives to free herself.
