What is the ruling on a young man and woman, who are not married, engaging in sexual intercourse on one of the nights of Ramadan, and what must they do?

Adultery is a grave sin that Allah has forbidden and for which He has prescribed severe punishments. However, Allah has opened the door of repentance for adulterers. The sinner must acknowledge their sin, abandon it, and seek forgiveness, resolving not to return to it, and rectify their deeds. They should also not expose what Allah has concealed for them, increase in righteous deeds, and hasten to repent and feel remorse without procrastination.
