Is the husband sinful for benefiting from money his wife took from the heirs' rights?
If a wife takes the right of others among the heirs without their consent, she is a usurper, and she must return the right to its owners. It is not permissible for her husband or anyone else to benefit from this usurped money. That which is Haram in its very essence must be returned to its owner. It is not lawful for anyone to buy it, sell it, consume it, or accept it as a gift if they know it is usurped. Whoever does so while knowing is like the usurper. Similarly, it is not permissible to take usurped money, whether as a gift, in exchange, or as payment for a right.
