What is the ruling on the father and mother of the husband taking money from their son's wife without her knowledge?

It is not permissible to transgress against someone else's property and take it without their permission. Therefore, it is not permissible for the husband's father or the husband's mother to take from their son's wife's property except with her permission. It is obligatory for anyone who has taken property without permission to repent to Allah and return the money to its owner. If they fear exposure, they should return it in a way that does not involve any religiously prohibited action.
