ما هي فرائض الوضوء؟

Allah Almighty, in the verse of Surat Al-Ma'idah, enjoined the agreed-upon obligatory acts of ablution, which are: washing the face, washing the hands up to the elbows, wiping the head, and washing the feet up to the ankles. There are also obligatory acts about which there is disagreement:

- Intention (An-Niyyah): It is an obligatory act according to the soundest opinion.

- Uttering "Bismillah" (At-Tasmiyah): There is disagreement regarding its obligatory nature, and the majority opinion is that it is a Sunnah (recommended act).

- Rinsing the mouth (Al-Madmadah) and inhaling water into the nose (Al-Istinshaq): There is disagreement regarding their obligatory nature, and the majority opinion is that they are Sunnah.

- Observing the sequence (At-Tarteeb) among the ablutionary organs: There is disagreement regarding its obligatory nature, and the verse does not necessitate it.

- Performing acts in continuous succession (Al-Muwalah): There is disagreement regarding its obligatory nature, and the majority opinion is that it is a Sunnah.
