Is it permissible for a husband to take back his divorced wife if the wife's mother has breastfed the couple's child?

Lactation does not affect the marital relationship. A husband can take his wife back as long as she is within her waiting period ('iddah) without a new contract. If her 'iddah has expired, he can marry her with a new contract, provided he has not divorced her three times. If he divorced her three times, she is not lawful for him until she marries another man, separates from him, and her 'iddah from him expires. Only then may the first husband marry her again.
