Providing housing for his wife is obligatory upon the husband, in a private dwelling with complete facilities. It is not permissible for him to house her with another woman or with his parents except with her permission. If his dwelling near his family will cause harm, then he must house her far away. It is possible to combine proximity to parents with avoiding problems by establishing rules for visits and interactions, or by visiting them frequently and attending to their needs if the dwelling is far.
