Who is the Companion nicknamed "The Sword of Allah"?

The Companion is Khalid ibn al-Walid al-Makhzumi al-Qurashi, Abu Sulayman al-Makki, the nephew of Umm al-Mu'minin Maymunah bint al-Harith. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, bestowed upon him the title "Sword of Allah" after the Battle of Mu'tah, where he led the army after the martyrdom of the three commanders and achieved victory. He participated in the Conquest (of Makkah) and Hunayn, fought against the apostates and Musaylimah, and conquered Iraq and ash-Sham. He lived for sixty years and passed away in Homs in the year 21 AH.
