What is the meaning of the noble Hadith: "Indeed, faith recedes to Medina just as a snake recedes to its hole"?

This noble Prophetic Hadith (definition): (Indeed, faith will retreat to Medina as a snake retreats to its hole), means that faith will return and be established in Medina, and that this religion will return to it after the corruption of other lands, just as Islam originated from it and will return to it at the end of time. Some scholars have gone to the opinion that the meaning is the coming of people to Medina to receive the Sharia (definition) from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, but the first meaning is the more apparent and correct one.
