Are the claims of non-Muslims that the Prophet (peace be upon him) married Khadijah for her wealth, and that this wealth was used to hire the Companions to spread Islam, and their raising questions about his marriage to Aisha, correct?

False claims should not be taken seriously, for the رسول الله (peace be upon him) did not initiate trading with Khadijah’s wealth; rather, she desired that after hearing of his trustworthiness. He did not propose marriage to her, but accepted her offer when he saw her virtuous qualities. Orientalists have also acknowledged Khadijah's initiative in the marriage proposal. Furthermore, Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) comforted the Prophet with her wealth and herself, and he (peace be upon him) always remembered her virtue. He had no need for anyone's money, and he was given the choice between this world and the Hereafter, and he chose the latter, living a simple life.
