What is the ruling on a wife working as a nurse at night?

It is permissible for a woman to work, and it is even desirable or obligatory if she needs it, or if society needs her, for example, as a doctor. She should seek work that is suitable for her, avoid private seclusion (khalwa (definition)) and mixing (ikhtilat) with non-mahram (definition) men unless absolutely necessary, adhere to the hijab (definition) and dignity, and not speak in a soft or alluring manner. Her work must not negatively affect the upbringing of her children, the care of her home, or her husband. There is no objection to her going out at night or staying overnight for a shift at the hospital out of necessity for the treatment and care of women.
