What are the methods for treating speech impediment and paralysis of the left hand after suffering a stroke, and is it beneficial to dedicate certain verses or supplications for the treatment of illnesses?

The methods for treating illnesses should be referred to specialized doctors. As for seeking healing through verses (of the Quran) and supplications (du'as), it is prescribed and, by Allah's permission, among the most beneficial treatments, because the Quran is a "healing and mercy for the believers." This healing is general, encompassing both physical and spiritual ailments. Special supplications for seeking healing have been reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
