What is the response to the disbelievers and atheists who tried to imitate the style of the Holy Quran and wrote part of a surah titled "Surat Al-Ard" (The Earth), in challenge to the Quran's statement: "Say, 'If mankind and jinn were to gather in order to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to be each other's assistants'"?

Those liars are not worthy of a response. Their inability to produce anything comparable to the Qur’an is sufficient evidence. If the disbelievers of Quraish were unable to do so, then what about the ruffians of the end of times? Allah has spoken truthfully: "Say, 'If mankind and the jinn were to gather in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to support one another.'" There is no need to pay them any attention, so as not to elevate their status.
