Is it necessary to pronounce the letters and articulate them as prescribed by the rules of Tajweed, or is it sufficient to pronounce them in any way?

It is obligatory to preserve the pronunciation of letters from their correct articulation points when reciting the Quran, in accordance with the rules of Tajwid. The letter "laam" (ل) is articulated from the nearest part of the two edges of the tongue to their furthest part, along with what adjoins them from the gum of the upper teeth. It is permissible to articulate the "laam" from between the two edges of the tongue, while being careful not to fall into excessive scrupulousness regarding the articulation points of letters.
