Is it permissible to kill sparrows that attack my pet sparrows after failed attempts to repel them?

If the sparrows are harming your birds, remove them as much as possible. If it is impossible to repel them except by killing, then that is permissible. If killing them is permissible, then they must be slaughtered if possible, because they have monetary value. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No human being kills a sparrow or anything larger than it without its right except that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, will question him about it." It was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what is its right?" He said: "He slaughters it and eats it, and does not cut off its head and throw it away." We rule out the need for killing, as you can put your birds inside the house or a cage.
