What are the necessary protective measures to take before marriage to prevent envy and sorcery, and is it obligatory to recite Surat Al-Baqarah in the marital home?

Envy and sorcery are evils that remove blessings and bounties by Allah's decree and destiny. The greatest defense against evils is faith in Allah and His piety. To protect oneself from envy and sorcery for someone about to get married, it is recommended to frequently remember Allah, recite the morning and evening supplications, read Ayat al-Kursi, the two surahs of refuge (Al-Falaq and An-Nas), and Surat al-Ikhlas after every prayer and before sleeping, and the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah every night. It is also recommended to rely on Allah, repent to Him, pray Fajr in congregation, and seek refuge in Allah from the evils of human and jinn devils. Reciting Surat al-Baqarah in the house is a good practice because Satan flees from a house in which Surat al-Baqarah is recited.
