How is the noble verse "abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure" interpreted, given that the heavens and the earth will perish on the Day of Resurrection, and does this contradict the concept of eternal abiding mentioned in other verses?

There is no contradiction in the words of Allah. Whoever claims there is a contradiction is a disbeliever. The eternity mentioned in the Qur’an is everlasting, as explicit texts have indicated. Allah addressed the Arabs using what was well-known in their language to express eternal perpetuity, by saying: "as long as the heavens and the earth endure," just as they say "as long as night and day alternate" and "as long as the sons of Sameer stay up late," all of which mean eternity.
