It is not permissible to attend family gatherings where the female cousins are immodestly dressed, even if the father, grandmother, and paternal aunt are present. It is more appropriate for men to be in one gathering and women in another separately. As for a boy approaching puberty, his ruling is like that of an adult concerning looking and intermingling with women. And when a boy reaches the age of ten, a woman must observe from him.
