Is it obligatory to apply the hadd and execute someone who abandons prayer and fasting?
We sincerely advise you to turn to Allah with devotion and repentance, for He accepts the repentance of His servants if they are sincere. To cure what afflicts you, do not isolate yourself, and recite and listen to the Qur'an frequently. Associate with righteous women and diligently perform upon yourself with the prescribed adhkar and ruqyah. Increase your supplications in the last part of the night and during the hour of Jumu'ah. Strive against your lower self by performing prayer and fasting, and read books by scholars that encourage these acts. Conceal your shortcomings and what you are experiencing, and know that only the legitimate ruler can carry out the prescribed punishment (hadd). Thank Allah for granting you respite to repent, so increase your gratitude to Him and perfect your worship.
