Is what happened to me, being exposed concerning masturbation, a punishment from Allah? And will Allah expose the one who exposed me, or will He give him respite?

Photographing you and defaming you is forbidden by Islamic law, and the perpetrator is exposed to God's punishment; because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (Do not backbite Muslims, and do not seek out their faults, for whoever seeks out their faults, Allah will seek out his faults, and whoever Allah seeks out his faults, He will expose him in his own house). As for you, you must make sincere repentance, and if someone reproaches you, say: I have repented, and it is not permissible to reproach someone for a sin they have repented from.
