Is it permissible to recount the story of healing after praying with "Bismillah" three times to people, acting upon the verse, "But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]," or should it be restricted to those who are trustworthy, as is the case with a righteous dream? And is it permissible to supplicate, asking for extraordinary matters, such as reducing the need for sleep and food?

Speaking of Allah's blessings and acknowledging them is a form of gratitude. This is a general address to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and to others, unless a Muslim fears envy or harm, in which case they may conceal them. As for supplicating for sufficiency with little sleep, food, and drink, it is permissible, for supplication is commanded unless it involves sin or severing ties of kinship. Sleep, food, and drink are considered acts of worship if done with the intention of fulfilling obligations and strengthening oneself for worship.
