Is it permissible to recite the morning and evening adhkar while going to and returning from the mosque to the house?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Morning and evening remembrances (adhkar) are restricted to a specific time, which is between dawn and sunrise, and between Asr and sunset, based on the Almighty's saying: ﴿And glorify Him in the morning and evening﴾ and His saying: ﴿And glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting﴾. It is permissible to recite them while returning from the mosque after prayer, because the remembrance of Allah is legislated on the way, based on the Almighty's saying: ﴿Those who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides﴾, and Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to remember Allah at all times."
