The intention for (ritual bathing) after menstruation or (state of ritual impurity requiring ghusl) is: the intention to remove the major ritual impurity (al- al-akbar), or the intention to perform what Allah has obligated of ghusl, or to make permissible what was forbidden by menstruation and Janabah, such as prayer and touching the Mus'haf (Qur'an).
