If the heirs of the deceased man are limited to those mentioned, his estate is to be divided as follows: - The sister from the mother's side: takes one-sixth as a prescribed share, due to the absence of a root (father/grandfather) and a branch (son/grandson) heir, based on the Almighty's saying: "And if a man or a woman leaves neither parents nor children but has a brother or a sister, then each one of them gets a sixth." - The remainder: is divided among the brothers and sisters by way of ta'sib (residuary heirship), with the male receiving the share of two females, based on the Almighty's saying: "And if they be brethren, men and women, then for the male will be the like of the portion of two females."
