Who are the Jinn?

Jinn are creatures hidden from sight, named so because of their concealment and invisibility to the eyes. The evidence for their existence is abundant in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and no Muslim group has differed regarding their existence. Allah created them from a smokeless flame of fire and endowed them with abilities such as rapid movement, flight, and shape-shifting.
