Is wearing a wristwatch considered an imitation of women, especially when one is keen to choose a beautiful-looking watch that enhances the wearer's beauty?

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade men from imitating women and women from imitating men. The curse mentioned in the hadith indicates that this act is one of the grave sins. The forbidden imitation is that which is specific to one gender and not the other. The determination of whether something is specific to a particular gender is defined by custom. So, if a watch is customarily specific to women, then it is not permissible for men to wear it; otherwise, it is permissible.
