Is my excessive sleep and laziness, and failure to wake up for prayer on time, due to magic (sihr)? And what are the ruqyahs (incantations) and supplications (duas) that I can address to Allah for healing?
The treatment for laziness and returning to sleep instead of praying lies in: 1. Reciting the remembrance (dhikr) for sleep and waking: Reciting them immediately before sleeping and after waking. 2. Leaving the bed immediately: Upon waking up. 3. Supplicating and imploring Allah: Especially during times when prayers are answered, asking Him to help you perform the prayer on time with the congregation. 4. Seeking refuge in Allah from laziness: As the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness." 5. Strong resolve and contemplating reward and punishment: As in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) hadith: "Satan ties three knots at the back of the head of each of you when he sleeps..."
If it becomes clear that you are afflicted by magic (sihr), the optimal treatment is ruqya shar'iyya (Islamic exorcism), which consists of: 1. Reciting the Quran: Such as Al-Fatiha, what is easy from Surat Al-Baqarah, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Mu'awwidhatayn (Al-Falaq and An-Nas), and verses for nullifying magic, such as Allah's saying: {Moses said, "What you have brought is magic. Indeed, Allah will invalidate it. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters."} (Yunus: 81). 2. Fortifying oneself with the prescribed remembrances: Such as the morning and evening adhkar. 3. Maintaining ritual purity (wudu). 4. Reciting over water and olive oil: The patient recites over water and olive oil the beginning of Surat As-Saffat and Ad-Dukhan, in addition to the prescribed incantations, then blows into them. The water is then drunk, and the body is massaged with the oil, while believing that healing is in the hands of Allah.
