Is the method of burying the deceased on his back with his right hand over his left hand above his stomach correct?

The deceased is buried on their right side facing the Qiblah, because the Kaaba is the direction of prayer for people, both living and dead. This is also because sleep and death share the characteristic of being a form of 'taking of the soul' (wafat). Allah the Almighty says: (It is Allah who takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep) Az-Zumar/42, and Allah the Almighty says: (And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day, then He raises you up therein that a specified term may be fulfilled) Al-An'am/60.
