People's wealth has immense sanctity, and encroaching upon it is a forbidden usurpation. No one is permitted to benefit from usurped property without the consent of its rightful owner, because "the wealth of a Muslim person is not lawful unless given willingly by himself." Whoever has benefited from the usurped property must satisfy its true owner and seek his absolution, and vacate it for him without compensation.
