Is it permissible to supplicate by the Prophet's (PBUH) stature, and is it permissible to involve the Messenger as an intercessor for the answering of prayers?

Supplication (Du'a) is an act of worship based on divine revelation (tawqif). It has not been authentically reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he guided his Ummah to seek intercession (tawassul) through his status (jah) or his right (haqq). Nor has it been narrated from the Companions that they said in their supplications, "O Allah, I seek intercession with You by the right of Muhammad (peace be upon him) or by his status." Rather, the Companions refrained from this and resorted to seeking intercession through the Prophet's uncle, as Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) did when he sought intercession through Al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). This is evidence that they used to seek intercession through the Prophet's supplication during his lifetime.

The permissible forms of intercession are: 1. Seeking intercession with Allah through His Most Beautiful Names and Exalted Attributes. 2. Seeking intercession with Allah through righteous deeds. As for the hadith, "Seek intercession with Allah through my status, for my status with Allah is great," it is a fabricated and forged lie against the Prophet (peace be upon him).
