Is it permissible to delay the 'Isha prayer for the purpose of reconciliation if there is a fear that efforts will be in vain?

The time for the 'Isha prayer is extended, and it is not obligatory to perform the prayer at the beginning of its time, but rather at any part of it. It is recommended to delay it for the individual and the congregation who are not harmed by the delay. Therefore, there is no harm in delaying the 'Isha prayer for the sake of reconciling differences ( إصلاح ذات البين), as long as the prayer will be performed within its extended time, which lasts until midnight.
