ما هو دور المسلم في الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر باستخدام وسائل الإعلام والحوارات الإلكترونية؟

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The Muslim Ummah is an Ummah of goodness because of its faith in Allah and its call to good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong. To repel falsehood and spread good, a Muslim must use every legitimate means, and among the most important today are printed materials, audio, video, and modern communication tools, due to their effective role in conveying issues and shaping thought.

These tools are sources of knowledge, culture, entertainment, and news, which indicates their importance in guiding and influencing human life positively and negatively. However, their negative impact on Muslims is broader and greater, due to their mixing of truth with falsehood, and their display of immoral advertisements, forbidden music, debased songs, and indecent images.

Therefore, Muslims, individually and collectively, must work diligently to steer media outlets towards building societies and strengthening faith and morals. This is done by advising those in charge of them to fear Allah and observe the sanctity of religion. They must also work to establish committed media outlets that present Islam correctly, correct misconceptions about it, offer Islam's solutions to social, economic, and moral problems, spread Islamic ethics, and warn against reprehensible morals and pornographic websites and channels.

Creativity must be employed in presenting media content, and educational programs should be developed for the youth, immunizing Muslims from destructive ideas and the dangers of globalization. Non-Muslims should be invited to Islam with wisdom and good admonition, and the merits of Islam and the tolerance of its teachings should be clarified, showing how it can solve contemporary problems if it is properly understood and applied.
