Why were the slaughtered animals and women of the People of the Book made lawful for us, unlike those of other disbelievers, even though their creed is false and they are disbelievers destined for Hellfire?

Allah creates, chooses, and decrees as He wills with profound wisdom that creation cannot fully grasp. There is no objection to seeking some of the wisdom behind legislation after accepting and submitting to it. The permissibility of marrying women from the People of the Book has been previously explained. The wisdom behind the permissibility of their food lies in their belief in the prohibition of slaughtering for other than Allah and their mentioning of Allah's name over their slaughtered animals.
