If the questioner is afflicted with waswasah (obsessive whispering), then there is no harm for her in acting upon the saying of Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah that separating the intention () from the act of worship, even if prolonged, does not cause harm, as long as her intention has not shifted to something other than what she originally intended. She must strive against these waswasah and endeavor to get rid of them.
