How is thanksgiving rendered to God Almighty when a desired outcome is achieved, and how is charity given for the sake of God?

Thanksgiving to Allah is with the heart, by believing that blessings are from His grace, the Almighty; and with the tongue, by speaking of Allah's blessings, not boastfully; and with the limbs, by subjecting them to Allah's obedience and spending blessings in what pleases Him, and avoiding His prohibitions. As for giving charity for the sake of Allah, it is by spending money and giving it to those in need, seeking Allah's reward.
