Is it permissible for Muslims to participate and respond in Christian forums that dedicate a section to Islamic dialogue with the aim of casting doubt on the Qur’an and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, knowing that they disparage the Qur’an and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and refuse any mockery of their saints, and there are Muslims with weak faith who are affected by these slanders?

It is not permissible for a layperson or a beginner in seeking knowledge to participate in forums that are abusive towards Islam under the pretext of refutation and denunciation, due to the abundance of doubts that the heart may absorb. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade Umar ibn al-Khattab from perusing a page from the Torah. However, this is acceptable from a well-grounded student of knowledge, in order to establish proof, enjoin good, and forbid evil.
