Does the immodestly dressed woman bear the sin for the transgression of the man who is tempted by her?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

If a woman beautifies herself [tabarruj] and wears perfume with the intention of seducing a man and causing him to fall into sin, she is sinful for being the cause of that, in addition to the sin of her beautification and perfume. Al-Mubarakfuri said in Mir’at al-Mafatih: If a woman uses perfume and passes by a gathering of men, she is an adulteress [zaniyah]; because she arouses their desire and makes them look at her, thus becoming a cause of the adultery of the eyes, and she bears the sin of adultery.
