Is there a difference between the ritual bath (ghusl) for menstruation and the ritual bath (ghusl) for major ritual impurity (janabah)?

The ritual bath for menstruation ( al-hayd) is exactly like the ritual bath for impurity (ghusl al-), except that it is recommended for the menstruating woman to apply perfume to the area where the blood was. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified the method of ghusl al-hayd by taking water and lotus (sidr) and purifying oneself with them, scrubbing the head and pouring water over it, then taking a perfumed piece of cloth and tracing the remnants of blood with it. As for ghusl al-janabah, it is done by taking water and purifying oneself with it, scrubbing the head and pouring water over it.
