What is the ruling on the hijab for a woman who suffers from suffocation from anything that wraps around her neck?

The hijab is an obligation upon the Muslim woman, and in it lies her protection and chastity. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against open display of adornment (tabarruj) and unveiling (sufur). The Muslim woman must pay attention to it because it is a path to her happiness and salvation. The hijab has no relation to tying something around the neck; the intent is complete covering by any means, as long as the garment is not transparent, tight, or an adornment in itself.
