How should a wife deal with her husband who differs with her on some religious matters and slanders preachers whom she respects, doing so intentionally under the pretext of enlightenment and protecting his family?
One must beware of slandering preachers, scholars, and reformers who have not deviated from the principles of Ahl al-, for the flesh of scholars is poisoned. If a husband orders his wife to slander preachers and scholars who adhere to the Sunnah, she is not obliged to obey him; rather, it is forbidden, because obedience is in what is good, and this is evil. If he himself speaks in such a manner, the wife should gently and wisely explain to him the seriousness of the matter, through an audio recording or a book, without argumentation or confrontation. If she fears problems, she should not discuss this topic with him, as she is not tasked with defending them, and his words harm no one but their speaker.
