What is the ruling on obsessive thoughts and inner speech concerning swearing to repeat a prayer, such as when a person says to themselves: "By Allah, I will repeat it"?

"Waswas" (whispering of Satan) and self-talk regarding taking an oath or repeating a prayer have no legal consequence, and they are overlooked for this Ummah (Muslim nation), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, Allah has pardoned for my Ummah what they whisper to themselves, as long as they do not speak of it or act upon it."

Therefore, you are not bound by any oath nor are you required to repeat the prayer. You should, however, increase your remembrance of Allah and seek refuge in Him.
